Operations Lead (ops+dev)

About This Job:
With a deep understanding of technology, standard business systems, front office and back office functions, and experience developing code for web-based applications, the person in this role will provide support to many teams including accounts, data science, and web dev. This person will have interests in marketing, automation, marketing automation, and helping businesses grow. The ideal candidate can quickly analyze a function in JavaScript and explain what the code will do and how to improve it. 
 
The Role will work with other subject matter experts to coordinate responses and create work products to be used by the accounts team with clients as well as internally to make progress on Arcalea IP. 
 
Understanding internal and clients’ goals, providing strategic guidance, and communicating actionable insights will play an important part in this role.  
 
A person in this role will be called upon to research options to solve business challenges, create pre-sales proposals, develop statements of work, and create deliverables on their own or coordinate work as a team to complete tasks. 
 
This is also a fully remote role. The Unspecified Technical Lead will join our team which is headquartered in Chicago but distributed with team members across the world.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Assist project lead to execute technical tasks for client projects
  • Coordinate plans for developer work
  • Interacts with accounts/consulting and operations teams
  • Reports to operations silo but has obligations for delivery to accounts/consulting
  • Assist with project management efforts and initiatives including project set up and time-tracking. Provide feedback and suggest improvements to existing project management analytics infrastructure. 
  • Develop dashboards, reports, graphs, and presentations of advertising results. May use Data Studio, Tableau, and/or other visualization programs.
  • Additionally, manage analytics and reporting processes to measure the success of marketing activities, such as SEO, paid media, email marketing, and social media. 
  • Participate in new or existing client quantitative market assessment activities  
  • Pinpoint trends, correlations, and patterns in complicated data sets
  • Develop statistical and machine models to solve complex business problems
  • Communicate results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Keep informed of industry activities as well as new digital strategies, resources, opportunities, and techniques. Drive innovation in a “test and learn” culture
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of full-time experience in digital media, marketing, or consulting OR 3 or more years of full-time experience doing CRM or other backend integrations and web development with a keen interest in marketing. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study. Master's degree preferred.

  • Interest and experience in people management, such as through managing interns and mentorship of others.
  • Interest in growing client work via business development activities. This role may be called on to participate in pre-sales calls with prospects. 
  • Possesses or qualifies to achieve certifications in Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform, other standard tools used by Arcalea: Facebook, LinkedIn, StackAdapt.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and an understanding of tracking/tagging.
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of key clients' business model, competitive landscape, and competitive positioning.
  • Maintains understanding of key paid media trends and suggests practice area process improvements.
  • Ability to “do what it takes” and manage a complex workload that spans project management, analysis, and client communications.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate with senior marketing leaders and C-level executives (or paid media equivalent). 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to create and build relationships. 
  • Proficiency with Google Apps (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and Excel.
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM and analytics tools are preferred. 
  • Prior experience with JavaScript and Google Apps Script is helpful. 
  • Access to stable Internet connection suitable for remote work and video calls.
