About This Job:
We are looking for an entry level candidate with 2 years or more of office experience, preferably in a marketing department.
Hourly Rate: $5-$8
Monthly Salary: $800-1280
The company will rely on you for having accurate and updated data that are easily accessible through a digital database. We are seeking an organized and thorough professional to fulfill the Data Entry Operator role. The Data Entry Operator will ensure the accuracy of data entries and perform clerical tasks (including filing and document organization) as needed. This professional must be dependable, highly familiar with using basic office equipment and computer software such as Google Suite and Email, and able to focus on single tasks for long periods.
This is full-time remote position. We are based in Chicago, IL and business hours are from 8:30a - 5p CST, Monday through Friday. There is an option to work on your country of origin’s business hours, please let us know if this is a priority.

You will attend and participate in calls on a weekly basis and are expected to be logged in to Slack and Gmail while working. All employees track their time and work out of the project management system Mavenlink. A proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken will take you far in this position.
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Quiet work environment for attending and communicating on meetings. A clear microphone and high-speed internet connection are also important.

  • Available to chat via Skype, Slack or Uberconference during our office hours (8:30am-5:00pm CST) at least three times weekly.
  • Time tracking and deep attention to detail when adhering to projects in the management software, Mavenlink.
  • Create spreadsheets with a large number of rows and columns with a close attention to detail
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Update existing data
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Prepares source data for entry by opening and sorting email; verifying and logging receipt of data; obtaining missing data.
  • Records data by operating data entry equipment; coding information; resolving processing problems.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Utilizing automated marketing tools to assist in the data collection and cleansing process
  • Enter and updates data daily
  • Use various databases to store and manage data
  • Generate bi-weekly reports
  • Ensure that entries are correct and complete
  • Contact team to clarify incomplete or unclear information
  • Cross-reference data reports with customer logs
  • Compile and organizes customer data
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Respond to internal requests for access to protected files
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • A College Degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of one to two years of data entry positions/operational assistance. Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and terminology is a plus.
