Global Events & PR Manager

About This Job:
We run a Global Movement called Thank You Small Business and we are looking for the person to step into our Team and manage the event and PR logistics for the movement as it expands globally.
 
This is a really exciting role with a huge amount of responsibility as well as an incredible opportunity to make a big difference in the world!
 
You must love small business and be an AMAZING event producer, have super strong PR knowledge and have the hustle and get it done attitude to make something magical happen with this movement!-
Roles & Responsibilities:
Project Management
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project alongside Director, Global Impact & CMO.
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
  • Execute the project according to the project plan.
  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion of the project.
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders/senior management including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project.
TYSB Partner Logistics and Relationship Management
  • Directly support Director, Global Impact in researching, recruiting and signing TYSB Partners
  • Coordinate details of contract signing and ensure Onboarding Checklists are 100% complete
  • Coordinate the creation of all brand assets to include Partner logos
  • Understand all Partner expectations and brand guidelines and project manage ALL activity involving Partners to ensure we deliver on their expectations and requirements
  • Work with Director, Global Impact to do ongoing and constant relationship building and collaboration / activation with all Partners
  • Ensure that all sponsors get incredible value by effectively communicating & implementing the campaigns agreed upon. 
  • Coordinate monthly Partner Meetings
  • Create and distribute a Monthly Global & Regional Partner Report
  • Be first line of contact for all Partner Requests by managing ----------;Tickets 
  • **Note that Director, Global Impact is the primary relationship manager for TYSB Partners - but requires significant support from the TYSB Manager on a day to day level
TYSB Global Marketing Project Management
  • Understand fully the CMO's brand and marketing plan for TYSB
  • Work closely with Brand & Comms Team to create all content and marketing
  • Work closely with Brand & Comms Team to ensure social media strategy is being implemented according to global marketing plan
  • Work closely with all TYSB Partners to ensure they are doing their part for the Global Marketing Plan
  • Work closely with TYSB Regional Leaders as well as all TYSB Champions to ensure that all TYSB Champions are fully activated and doing what they commit to in order to fulfill our goals for the Global Marketing Plan
  • Prepare weekly report on all marketing goals and realities to present to CMO and Director, Global Impact with suggestions for increasing success
TYSB INITIATIVES IMPLEMENTATION
  • Project Management
    • Manage the TYSB Regional Coordinators to ensure that each of the TYSB Initiatives are implemented consistently and flawlessly
  • TYSB Tour
    • Plan and organise promotional, business and social events.You'll manage the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation. The role is primarily hands-on and often involves working as part of a team.
    • Liaise with sponsor to find out their exact event requirements.
    • Produce detailed proposals for events (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
    • Work with TYSB Regional Coorindators to
      • research venues, suppliers and contractors and work on in kind contributions from all in exchange for promotion
      • Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel)
      • Manage all pre-event planning, organizing, guest speakers and delegate packs
      • Coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget.
      • Produce post-event evaluation to inform future events.
  • Thank You Day
    • Coordinate with all Partners to understand how they will be participating and who from their Team will be participating
    • Work with Brand & Comms Team to issue out a marketing campaign inviting small business owners to apply to get support for their business on Thank You Day
    • Manage all logistics related to matching Partner Team Members to small business owners
    • Manage day of logistics
    • Work with Brand & Comms to develop a content strategy to tell the story of Thank You Day during the day and after
    • Work with TYSB Regional Coordinators to
      • Handle all day of questions / issues or logistics challenges
      • Ensure that documentation (videos and pictures) are captured at as many sites as possible
      • Coordinate day of media / requests
  • Random Acts of Thank You Implementation
    • Plan all logistics for the day of / campaign
    • Work with relevant Partners to put details together
    • Work with Brand & Comms Team on content and marketing strategy around the RATY
    • Work with TYSB Regional Coordinators to
      • Put a day-of plan in place
      • Ensure that all details are fully orchestrated
      • Ensure that content is gathered for story telling and content sharing during and post RATY
Small Business Engagement
  • Continuously monitor our community & make strategic recommendations on how to improve engagement, client journey, functionalities, growth etc. 
  • Ensure we hit attendance goals for all TYSB Events
  • Ensure we get critical mass of participating small businesses for Thank You Day
  • Ensure we have enough SMBs joining the TYSB Marketplace to create energy and activity
  • Track engagement and use of TYSB Resources and Benefits
 
Requirements & Qualifications:
-A minimum of 10 years in event management 
-Strong experience producing events around the world and in locations you are not based
-Mid level experience with press release management and media relations
-Experience with relationship and corporate sponsorship management
