Ooze Studios is an Australian creative & marketing agency working with global clients and a global team. We build industry-leading, objective focused digital products such as marketing campaigns, landing pages, websites, apps, lead magnets, etc. Our team is quickly expanding as our client base grows.
 
We work with some of Australia’s most successful small & medium businesses from a range of industries, check out our portfolio for some of our recent work.
 
We are a predominately remote-working agency, with minimal in-person contact hours each week. We do have multiple forms of required communication and processes that enable us to work remotely, which must be adhered to by all team members.
 
With the growth of our company, a new opportunity has arisen within the team for a Web & Graphics Designer. You will be managing, and working closely with the Content Team to strategise, design, produce and edit bespoke designs for all of our clients.

Currently servicing 8 Client accounts with more on the horizon, our team is looking for a prolific designer and team player who can help to create relevant and engaging web designs and other collaterals that meets the brief, is on-brand, and that drives results.
 
We are seeking applicants with a minimum of 3 years' industry experience working in the Digital Landscape, who have a passion for creating beautifully designed and well thought of digital products. 
 
Stepping into this role within our team will see you reporting to the Managing Director.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Project-Based Web & Graphic Designer
Job Type: Project based
*2 to 6 hours per day for 10-day project + potential on going work
Hourly rate: $20 - $25 AUD per hour
 
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product management and development team to define and implement innovative solutions for the design direction, visuals and experience
  • Presents the user interface visually, making information easy to find, read, and understand
  • Generates clear ideas, concepts, and designs of creative assets from beginning to end
  • Designs production-ready assets and materials, including logos, icons, digital ads, landing pages, and event graphics
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Understand, process and action a design brief from a client or team member.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
Requirements & Qualifications:
WHO ARE YOU?
We are looking for an experienced and talented Graphics Designer to join our team. You need to be great at designing, branding and shaping unique user-centric products and experiences for our diverse clientele:
  • Be a great team player, experienced in working with agile teams. Ability to collaborate closely with developers, copywriters and stakeholders.
  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods.
  • Present and defend your design decisions. All your design decisions should be based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. color theory, visual weight, etc.)
  • Continually keep yourself and your design team updated with the latest changes in your industry’s standards.
 
We don’t limit ourselves by defining one particular background that would be right for this role. But we need you to be able to make deliberate design decisions and to translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction.
 
  • Three or more years of experience and proven track record.
  • Strong portfolio to be presented and defended during interview.
  • A deep understanding of web design and the implications onto customer experience
  • Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
  • Experience using tools such as Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision.
  • Creative ideas with problem solving mindset.
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum development process.
  • Be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it.
  • Can work at a fast-paced environment and take creative feedback and execute updates quickly
  • Has a "get it done" attitude and proven background of delivering beautiful work again and again
  • UX design knowledge is a huge plus
