Collections Coordinator

About This Job:
We are looking for a new team member to join our fast-growing property management company. We are looking for a person skilled in the Collections process who can follow up with tenants who carry a balance, answer tenant questions pertaining to charges on their ledger, give owner updates as needed, assist in filing for non-payments, and answering phones. 
Roles & Responsibilities:
Answer phones:
Field and direct calls accordingly and as needed
Answer questions about tenant balances
 
Accounts Receivable and Collections: 
Post late fees
Send out 7-day notices and outstanding balance letters 
Introduce payment assistance programs/options as needed (a general understanding of each one is needed but can be trained) 
Monitor Daily Balance Report and follow up with tenants as needed
Handling conflicts with tenant ledgers
Communicating with tenants about walkthroughs, inspections, etc.
Posting lease violations, following up, and ensuring lease violation charges are added to the ledger 
 
Requirements & Qualifications:
-Experience with a past Collections position
-Must speak English
-Ability to speak and understand Spanish preferred
-Ability to learn our software 
-Basic understanding of accounting
-Ability to clearly communicate 
-Organized
