About This Job:
What We Need:
  • We, at ADVANCED COMMERCIAL, are seeking a virtual ACCOUNTANT/Bookkeeper to work remotely.
  • The position is considered an integral part of the Office Accounting team.
  • Successful applicants will be honest, extremely organized, and detail-focused.
  • You will report directly to the Finance Director and Office Manager.
  • You will be working with a remote team of other assistants located in the Philippines.
 
RATE/SALARY RANGE:  To be Discussed- Based on experience.

  • 40+ hours per week
  • Work hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Eastern Time USA with a 1-hour lunch break >>>> some flexibility available with the start/stop times

Roles & Responsibilities:
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions daily
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Supporting the bill collections process
  • Payroll
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close process
  • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
  • Preparing financial statements and other reports
  • Developing management reports designed to answer questions about specific operations of the business
  • Pulling data for “dashboard” reports ensuring that the executive team gets regular updates on company metrics
  • Organizing, electronically filing, maintaining, and accessing data for various projects
  • Developing budgets
  • Developing business forecasts
  • Assisting Finance Director and Office Manager with special projects as needed
Requirements & Qualifications:
What we are looking for:
  • Time commitment
    • 40+ hours per week

  • Experience
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working remotely for a company in the USA on USA time schedule
    • Minimum of 3 years working as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Clerk, or Accounting Assistant
  • Skills and Technical Knowledge
    • Knowledge of accrual and cash basis accounting
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel – ability to create and manipulate PivotTables; utilize formulas like VLOOKUP and INDEX MATCH to analyze data, and use Solver functions
    • Ability to produce error-free accounting reports
    • Ability to quickly learn new software programs
    • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
