Front-end Web Developer

About This Job:
The Front-end Developer is responsible for updating HTML and CSS across our network of properties and writing and maintaining associated Javascript. They will be involved in converting designs to mobile-friendly browser design, create CSS/SCSS and work with the Technology teams to update designs, build templates, maintain style code base and be involved in creating or updating Javascript and PHP based applications, as directed by UX or Engineering Lead. They will be involved in creating and managing marketing split tests.
 
The Front-end Developer will be managing complex details about projects that require analyzing design requirements, as well as recommending technical solutions to make projects scalable, maintainable, and efficient. This role is expected to take ownership of small to medium sized features from specification to completion. This role will also debug websites to fix mistakes in the code to make sure they are error-free for end users.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  1. Update landing pages, sales letters, and checkouts for launches and promotions.
  2. Create new page designs for split tests and promotions.
  3. Use VWO to create split tests for promotions to optimize leads and sales.
  4. Work with testing teams to end test and make winning variations live.
  5. Optimize page structures to ensure good page load times.
  6. Optimize page structures to align with SEO strategy.
  7. Update upsells and cross-sells in upsell application.
  8. Make copy updates to pages and incorporate requested QA updates.
  9. Support affiliate team and content with new asset creation.
  10. Support build out of client side unit testing suite.
  11. Assist with tracking and documentation for split tests and funnels.
  12. Debug medium to high complexity problems with minimal guidance.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • This is a U.S based full-time position with working hours from 8am-5pm Eastern Time Zone with some flexibility
  • 2+ years experience working in WordPress theme, template and plugin development
  • 2+ years experience in HTML/CSS3/SASS
  • 1+ years experience working with e-commerce company
  • 2+ years of Javascript experience
  • 2+ years of PHP experience
  • Knowledge and experience with local web environments such as WAMP and Vagrant installations or work computers
  • Solid understanding of Git and branching workflow.
Average knowledge of databases and networks
  • Average understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
  • Average understanding of JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue)
  • Experience in Marketing and split testing, strongly preferred
