After leaving Washington University upon completion of the public v. private sector Human Genome Project race in 2001, I chose to focus on a career in sales. That path has afforded me 15+ years sales experience in a variety of industries and capacities. Each position -- from my early years in the restaurant industry as a waitress/bartender, to the entry-level, Inside Sales Representative (Wireless Service Provider) position that I was able to cultivate into Account Management and eventually Sales Manager, to the transition to managing major international commercial accounts with Staples -- has played a unique and important role, providing the array of skills needed to develop the well-rounded acumen necessary for any successful sales professional. Those skills, coupled with my formal education (Bachelor of Psychology, Marketing Minor + MBA) are invaluable when applied to customer relationships. They offer a unique perspective that I consider my best asset.
