I'm a 24 years old web developer who took this path after a failed bachelor's degree in Physics. I've always been into computers and I've always wanted to do CS, but my family couldn't afford a bachelor's degree on CS, so I chose Physics. Don't get me wrong, I do love Physics, and that's what made me stay on it till the very end. But in the end, I needed the computers. I needed to develop things and be the magician of the computers. And three years later here we are and I'm just starting. I've been the computer guy, since high school. My father gave a cheap computer that broke all the time and I had two options: fix it by myself or be happy without it. You know which one I chose. I learned to format computers, install operating systems, mount and dismount the hardware and much more, all from the web. And that's how I also self-taught my second language, English. I dare say that this is the most important skill I acquired from the web. From there on, I moved into web based development, taught myself HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Today I'm a full-time developer at Adara Internet and a Front-End developer at The Brane on my extra hours of the week coding awesome stuff with the shiny React (thanks to Facebook for changing the way we develop Front-End applications with React and it's ecosystem, it is such a great developer experience) but I'm preparing myself financially to pursue a Software Engineering bachelor's degree next year. Learning is my lifestyle and it'll be until the end.
