I trained as a scientist in University and can tell you a plethora of bizarre facts about the human body, medicine, and our relationship with this planet. My background is in medical biochemistry with a specialty in virology and immunology. More importantly, I learned that scientists use a unique way of thinking and problem solving that can be usefully applied in many walks of life. So began my second journey. In 2006 I whet my appetite for complex project management as a project coordinator in health research and I found my passion for projects. Big projects, messy projects, projects with complex politics and complicated teams and emotions where only gut and heart and careful innovative thinking guide us to the best possible outcomes. Over the coming years, I would manage projects ranging from the creation of a four-dimensional virtual human to the creation of a virtual social community for patients suffering from a rare disease. My love of technology and its intersection with our ability to improve the world around us married the joy I get from finding the perfect methodology to execute the impossible. I am looking for a place to shine my light brightly and to join a team that thrives and endures even when the problems are real and the solutions take guts.
