I have been working in Higher Education for several years, both as an instructor of Communications (visual & digital), and in eLearning/digital media production. My unique skill set combines web and multimedia production knowledge with a higher education teaching background, experience as a subject matter expert, and experience of leading course development for face-to-face, blended and online delivery. I am usually involved in multiple aspects of course development projects, from providing subject matter expertise to developing the curriculum and instructional strategies, designing graphics and multimedia, advising on learning technology and managing live courses. I have a network of contacts including video producers and developers who can assist with projects where needed, and am accustomed to liaising with both external producers and internal stakeholders within remote teams. I have particular interests in open education tools such as OERs and MOOCs, the use of information visualization in an educational context, and language learning methods.
